What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are different formulations of hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance present in the human body. They are injected just under the skin surface to temporarily correct wrinkles. By absorbing water and adding volume, they fill facial lines. Although most patients do not experience complications, temporary bruising is common, especially in persons using aspirin, ibuprofen, blood thinners or vitamin E.
