What is Botox?
BOTOX Cosmetic has been used in the USA therapeutically for more than 17 years to treat a variety of medical conditions. In 2002, BOTOX Cosmetic was approved by the US FDA for the treatment of moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in people ages 18 to 65. What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are different formulations of hyaluronic acid which is a natural substance present in the human body. They are injected just under the skin surface to temporarily correct wrinkles. By absorbing water and adding volume, they fill facial lines. Although most patients do not experience complications, temporary bruising is common, especially in persons using aspirin, ibuprofen, a blood thinner, or vitamin E.
